EBC x Café Olimpico 5KM Community Run Part III : Season Closer
On Saturday, August 16th, we closed out the season with our third and final community run at Café Olimpico’s Mile End location, and we ended it with a bang.
What started as a small initiative to bring people together has now become one of the biggest running activations in the city. This time, we broke our previous record of 280 runners and welcomed over 380+ people to the streets of Montreal. Seeing the EBC community grow to this scale in just a few months has been nothing short of inspiring.
What Made This One Special
Part III wasn’t just about breaking numbers, it was about celebrating the culture we’ve been building together. We teamed up with our friends at Pizza Toni, who provided free slices post-run, and of course Café Olimpico, who kept everyone fuelled with coffee on the house. That mix of energy, food, and community created a vibe unlike anything we’ve hosted before.
To keep the momentum high, we gave away over $1,000 in prizes, including fresh EBC gear and a full New Balance sneaker and apparel set. The look on people’s faces when they walked away with something special made it all worth it.
Closing the Season Strong
This was the last run of the season, and we couldn’t think of a better way to close it out. From the first kilometre to the last, the community showed up with unmatched energy, and the streets of Mile End were alive with progress, connection, and movement.
The EBC x Café Olimpico 5KM Community Run series was more than just a run. It was a reflection of what we stand for: bringing people together through performance, discipline, and the pursuit of becoming better every day.
